Blender 2.5 builds now available in downloads

We now have Blender 2.5 builds in our downloads page for OSX 10.6.1 and Ubuntu GNU/Linux 9.10. We will be updating the builds periodically and blogging those updates here. A Windows 7 version will be up soon, hopefully.

    Is anyone having as much of a hard time as I am getting used to NOT having the beloved space bar shortcut? It feels like a different program to me. I hope there’s a way to change this in the settings of 2.5.

    hi folks
    @comeinandburn: user keymaps are possible (but not yet savable) in 2.5, so chances are you will be able to get the old style shortcut back (might take a bit of python in addition to keymapping, to build the menu the same way) even if it is not there by default (not sure what the plan is)

    @Blendiac: I think around once a week is probably safe to assume, we’ll blog it everytime we do.
